This is madness!
This article raises concerns to the leadership of the party to seek the interest and aspirations of the party to personal interest owing to the fact that the party is contesting to win a national elections with two other strong parties and its internal struggling and the demand of the flag bearer to resign at this crucial moment will spell doom for the party.
The demand for Paa Kwesi Nduon to resign, is it tenable at the time where he has embarked on nation-wide campaign towards elections 2008?
What do the Voices of Ghana have to say about this?
The voices of Ghana spoke. About 40% said don’y resign, 30% said resign and 30% was neutral on the subject.

Nduom is a mold planted by the UP/NPP bomb throwers; he is a strong NPP using the CPP as a front to win votes for the cocaine party in case there is a run-off. his shenanigans are known but he will be shock.
yes Nduom is NOT fit to lead our great party. How can a corrupt and NPP man lead our party? He and NPP are bedfellows cant be trusted also HE should clear himseif at SFO.
Ekow must know that Paa Kwesi Nduom sold CPP to NPP and wants to bury forever. He is not a true Nkrumiast. He is fake, 419 and opportunist just like Blay. CPP forget it and join hands with NDC. NPP and fathers overthrew Nkrumah violently. They lilled so many Ghanaians because of power. Ndoum thinks he can flirt with them God forbid
The root of this problem lies in the unnecessary adulation of Kwame Nkrumah.
Again, as I have said repeatedly on SIL, Nkrukah was a great leader; however, if you continue to worship him instead of modernizing the party based on the reality that exists on the ground, then anyone anywhere can derail your progress arguing that th epresidential candidate is a traitor to Nkrumah!
Mr Jantuah and co are a reminder of the past: an era which the CPP will do well to move on from. The fact that Dr Nduom worked for the UP/NPP is neither here nor there.
The Great Winston Churchil who is seen as the UK’s finest Prime Minister, once crossed over from the Conservative Party to join the Liberal party in the early 1900s. He returned to the Conservatives later on and went on to greater glory. No one ever hounded him for this act!
CPP, move on from the past and organize based on what you will do in the future and not what happened to your departed President for Life. He has played a huge role in our country’s development and will be remembered for that!
In the early 1990s, after about 15 years of wallowing in opposition, Tony Blair made a bid for the leadership of the Labour Party.
Dinosaurs in the Labour party who worshipped orthodox Socialism and central planning of the economy hated him. Blair was not hostage to the Clause 4 which committed Labour to nationalization of hundereds of industries.
Yet Blair appealed to the more realistic members of the Party on the grounds that they had a choice: they could live in the past and in permanent opposition, passing useless resolutions that no would would read,or they could vote for him and modernization and this would bring victory and the New Labour agenda. The results are there for all to see.
The CPP is still in debt to 1957-1966. It harks back to an era that most Ghanaians do not remember. Anyone who was born from about 1959 onwards does not know Nkrumah. This amounts to about 30% of the active voting population. Then there are those who lived through his reign and supported him but towards the end were a bit disillusioned. Add to this the traditional UP/NPP supporters then the worship of Nkrumah by the likes of Mr. Jantuah brings very little electoral dividends.
Dr Nduom is the start of an improvement in the CPP fortunes. Moving on from Geroge Aggudey (I look like Nkrumah so vote for me) he seeks a new well-organized machine based on the organizational skills of Nkrumah and Gbedemah.
As I have told him on in a reply to his posting on SIL, Nduom will not win the election. However, his initiatives are good for his party.
If the CPP does not seize this opportunity, and instead undermines Nduom on some dusty report, then it consigns itself to opposiiton for the decades to come.
The party is attracting new blood in high numbers due to the message via Nduom….We all know the people behind this foolishness…They are old and ancient…they are using losers to advance their cause, but Nduom and the new CPP will win in the end..Can’t stop a good thing…CHANGE IS COMING within the CPP and GHANA……….FORWARD EVER !!!
if they do not break free from Nkrumah then for the next 100 years all you need to do is to allege that someone is a traitor to Nkrumah and that is the end of his or her career in the CPP even if the person has the best ideas and organizational skils to move the party forward.
This reminds me of what the Harvard Prfoessor Alan Dershowitz calls the Abuse Excuse. Anytime someone is charged with killing a family member, he/she alleges abuse as an excuse even where there is absolutely no evidence for this as a defence.
The abuse excuse allows the dead person to be put on trial, his/her name dragged through the mud and a complete acquittal or conviction of manslaughter is the result even though the hard facts should lead one to a conviction of first degree murder.
Again, this is the case in the CPP. They fanatics claim Nduom aligned himself with the UP/NPP and this means he is bad for their party. In effect, they ignore his fairly high profile, his qualities and credibility and they focus on “abuse” as their “excuse” to pull him down.
This is sad, and the CPP if it doe snot move on from Nkrumah will remain in oppostion for decades if not one whole century!
I HAVE NOT PULLED DOWN NKRUMAH’S FOUNDATION!!
Please read my posting. I have said Bravo Nkrumah!
My focus is on his followers. If they do not move on from Nkrumah they will be in opposition for 100 years!
The issue at stake is not an assessment of Nkrumah’s regime. The issue is whether the CPP diehard fanatics should snipe at Nduom because he worked for the UP/NPP and is thus they see him as a traitor to Nkrumah’s cause.
My view is that who he worked for is irrelevant and so is Nkrumah’s cause in this instance. Nduom was elected by the delegates to the CPP Congress. He is the leader. To look for ways after the Congress to eliminate him is a sad story.
I communicated with Nduom and he never mentioned Nkrumah’s name. I asked him why and he said the great man had finished his tasks. He Nduom needed to work to lift the CPP off the ground and he can only do so by broadening its appeal and winning voters from the UP/NPP as well as the NDC.
UP/NPP supporters and voters will not flock to the CPP banner if you keep going on about Nkrumah. They will however, embrace the CPP if you talk about the future!
The bathroom tends to be wet long before rainfall and that is a reality of the world.
If there is madness in the CPP at this political moment, Nduom must be held accountable because of his immature actions and pronouncements.
There is no better couched political double speak than the practice of SKIRT and BLOUSE initiated by Nduom.
Indeed, when the primaries were over in the USA, the Clintons have not resorted to calling opposing Democratic Party membes unsavory names. Nduom is the one who has perceived every critic of his petit-bourgeois sentiments as detractors and used stupid language to describe them. Check that out.
In the long-run, would it not benefit the CPP if Nduom came clean of the SFO allegation?
When Madam Anin, Mr. Jantuah and Mr. Akwetey defend the cause of the CPP it is because of their varied experiences. In the natural progression of human development, the eyebrow precedes the growth of hair on the chin, right?
If there is a damning tape/video of Michelle Obama and Farakhan yelling ‘whitey’ I can guarantee the existence of another in which some white folks are screaming “Darkey” in unison, what about that?
Is there greater harm to the CPP, six months before elections, when one of its MPs makes open declaration of support for NPP’s presidential candidate with impunity? Why has Nduom been numb on that political episode?
When Eben Quarcoo of the Akufo-Addo-owned The Statesman newspaper has been engaging in anti-CPP fifth calumny, what has been the response from Nduom and Ekow Nelson? Zilch!
The CPP is not in a suicide mode. It just happens that internal criticism is the lifeline for the longevity of a political organization.
The CPP today is neither the return of a “new” Fante Confederacy or Nduom’s Fan Club.
Every step must be taken, and will be taken, to ensure that no individual hijack’s the commanding heights of the CPP, no, no.
Forward Ever, in the Spirit of March 6!
Where are the por-bono lawyers to file citizen rights charges for criminal prosecution for crimes against the people of Ghana? Those with proof of Nduom’s criminality must lay out the facts for the whole world. Why has the AG/CHRAJ failed to address the concerns of Ghanaians on this Eron cookbook accounting frauds. Is Deloitte Touche part of US NASA,CIA and Booz Allen front companies? Lets the facts and expose rogue elements hijacking the CPP
Nduom has earned my respect and unflinching support, Akosa has not…Akosa’s silence speaks volumes……What will he have done if he had won to represent the CPP in December? All of a sudden, he is crawling under his bed? I’m not going to be fooled by him…Not today, never…..He should come out like a man and at least support the cause of the new CPP. He cannot just mind his own business and allow someone to build the new CPP for him and his supporters…His silence or complaisance in this propaganda to soil Nduom’s name will haunt him in the future……Hopefully he will not run for public office again….And this goes for all the other hopefuls…….FORWARD EVER !!!
Sit there in your one bedroom somewhere in NY and whine…..YOUR PULL HIM DOWN STUPIDITY has not worked before the CPP congress….you could not even convince your own people not to vote for Nduom( you claimed to be a delegate)….and you think SIL will do that for you?…..Your stupidity and that of your kind have not worked and it will not work….Ghanaians are not stupid…they jnow a winner when they see one….In 2000, it was Kufuor….In 2009, it will be Nduom….Now go to your corner and weep some more…..
Now back to the people’s choice….Nduom was in Tamale…..he is coming to a town near you with SOLUTIONS……HE IS MR. FIX IT…..FIX GHANA NOW…VOTE NDUOM AND CPP….FORWARD EVER !!!
You too say some….But the real deal is Nduom and the new CPP…That’s why the spotlight is on him…Nduom has them running for cover…They are even copying and repeating his vision, word for word in their campaigns….Nduom mentions SUAME and Atta Mills copies…He says ALL INCLUSIVENESS, and Atta and Mahama (the new side kick) jumps all over it and takes ownership…….Now he says EDWUMAWURA, and they are stuck…….They realize that the PNDC/NDC has nothing to show for that…Give it to MR. FIX IT….He is the man……Ghana deserves the best….FORWARD EVER !!!
